Dorothy “Eris” Barnes, Weber, age 88, of Wauseon, passed away Friday evening, July 27, 2012 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the former Sheller-Globe in Wauseon. Eris also loved her volunteer work with Fulton County Health Center and the former Detwiler Hospital in Wauseon.

She was born in Wauseon, Ohio on March 14, 1924, the daughter of Gaylord and Letha (Blanchard) Goodwin. On July 26, 1941 she married Duane Barnes, and he preceded her in death in 1983. On June 13, 1988 she married Clyde Weber, and he preceded her in death in 2005. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, rural Wauseon.

Surviving are four children; Robert (Vickie) Barnes of Ogden, Utah, Kenneth Barnes of Delta, Mary Jo Burgoon of Youngsville, LA, Randy Barnes of Luling, LA; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, both parents, brother, Kenneth Goodwin and two sisters, Joanne Eash and Imogene King.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Zion United Methodist Church, with Pastor Don Krieger, officiating. Interment will be in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Zion United Methodist Church.
