George Joseph Johnson, age 74, of Maumee, Ohio formerly of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, died Thursday evening, October 31, 2013 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. He was born February 22, 1939 in Hominy, Oklahoma, son of the late Luke and Lucille (Griffith) Johnson. He was a retired Funeral Director and was employed by and owned funeral homes in Oklahoma. George was a United States Army veteran serving 1958-1961. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Funeral Director's Assn., and F&AM Wah She She Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking and landscaping.

Survivors: Children, Kimberly Ann Cross, and John David Johnson.

Sister, Ruth F. (John Paul, Jr.) Board, Maumee, Ohio.

Nephew, John Paul (Lori Ann) Board, III. Niece, Jennifer Board.

Great-niece and great-nephews, Sarah Grace Board, John Michael and Eric Paul Board.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. Novemeber 16, 2013 in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Interment will follow in Pawhuska City Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, Oklahoma in charge of Oklahoma funeral arrangements.

Local funeral arrangements entrusted to Grisier Funeral Home, Delta, Ohio.
