So sorry to hear about Art. So glad I got to see him in FL. I will always remember standing beside Art in Chapel singing the hymn Holy, Holy, Holy which contains the line "...which wert and art..." A wonderful memory..

Mr. McKarns was my high school golf coach and paved the way for me to play in college. He put his players/students first and had an unforgettable sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by many. My condolences to the entire McKarns family.

Art will always be remembered for his great laugh and out-going personality. We enjoyed times spent together, whether dinner and conversation or evenings at Straight No Chaser concerts. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. Love to Marj, Robin, Pat and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dear Marj, Pat, Robin, and family--

Pat and I were shocked to hear of Art's passing. We are so sad and sorry for each of you. Art and I were high school friends and he had a very nice relationship with my parents.

Art was a great guy and will always be remembered with fond memories. I can see him on the basketball court as I write. And, the day he got his new Impala I think everyone in school stopped to look at it. So long ago but in my mind like it was yesterday. R.I.P. my friend!

With our deepest sympathy! Love to all, Judy & Pat

Art was the best man I ever met. Although I was not biologically related to Art I always felt like his son. I was blessed to have spent some of his last days with the family at his bedside. My bride and I spoke with him by phone 40 minutes before his passing and his last words will live with us always. I love you Art and may God rest your soul.

I have many fond memories of Art McKarns, while spending nights at their home with his sister Patsy. Art accepted me into their family and always made me feel welcome with his wonderful smile and sense of humor. I loved it when he would take us to school in his cool car! My memories of Art will always be his "fun-loving" personality.
