Adella Garcia

Adella Garcia, age 76, of Stryker, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at CHP – Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice. Prior to her retirement, Adella had worked at the Archbold Ladder Company, been a school cook, and a bus driver.

Adella was born in Brady, Texas on April 28, 1941, the daughter of Julian and Beatrice (Garcia) Laureles. On December 10, 1956, she married Pino Garcia, and he survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Elva Ford of Rockville, IN, Linda (Randy) Rodriguez of Archbold and Dolores Garcia of Stryker; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anita Laureles of Batesville, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert; four sisters, Aurora Shockley, Joyce Pankey, Olga Davis, Mary Jane Acuna; and four brothers, Gilbert Laureles, Frank Laureles, Juan Laureles, and Julian Laureles.

Visitation for Adella will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker, where the funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M., with Dave Tijerina, officiating.
