Welcome to the memorial page for

Dolores Ann Gasche

May 8, 1935 ~ August 16, 2016 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Dolores Ann Gasche, 81, peacefully entered heaven’s glorious gates on Tuesday, August 16, 2016.

She was born on May 8, 1935 in Richland Township, Defiance County, OH to the late Donald and Pearl (Willeman) Snow. Two hearts became one on June 18, 1961 as she married the love of her life, John Frederick Gasche of Wauseon, OH.

Dolores raised her family in Wauseon and was fond of the community; living in the same rural house for most of her adult life. She retired from her career as a Metalizer Operator at Perfection Finishers, Inc. in 1997 where she loved to work with all kinds of people from all walks of life. She also found some success selling real estate with Joe Newlove Real Estate. After retirement, she took up a job serving the residents of Heartland nursing home in a kitchen capacity.

Remembering her legacy of unconditional love and dedication to mankind are husband, John; children Jeff (Kathy) Gasche of Liberty Center, Lisa (John) Herge of Napoleon, and Lori (Dan) Johnson of Wauseon; grandchildren Taylor (Bruce) Jones, Logan (Korissa Veller) Raymon, Dylan and Brandon Gasche, and Conner and Cory Johnson; Great-grandchildren Amanda, Sophia, Aleigh, and an expected baby boy; brother Jim (Pauline) Snow, and sister Mary (The Late Robert) Eichler; in addition to countless former coworkers, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. She was preceded in death by her grandchildren Spencer, Andrew, and Allyson Johnson; sisters Carol “Sue” Snow and Betty “Junie” Pao; and brother Harold Snow.

Dolores found joy in crocheting and embroidering and liked to sell her talented labors of love at area craft shows. Although never much of an animal person, she also enjoyed her and her husband John’s Beagle- Jack Russell mix dog, Lucy, in recent years. Her greatest thrill in life, however, was loving on and spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids. All who knew her could recognize her unconditional love and affection for all her family.

Visitation for Dolores will be held from 4-8 pm on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Christ’s Church in Wauseon.  Her family would also like to thank Dr. Kenton Kamp’s office and the staff at Davita Dialysis for providing treatment and support to our beloved Dolores, nearly reaching the span of a decade. They’d also like to thank Pastor Mike Harbour and the congregation of Christ’s Church for continuing to walk with her and her husband John in the faith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio or Christ’s Church. To even further honor Dolores’ legacy, love unconditionally and show appreciation for those closest to you. “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you”. (John 15:12, KJV).
