Donna B. Oyer

Donna Belle Oyer, age 85, of Stryker passed away Friday October 6, 2017 at Hillside Country Living after an extended illness. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the former Metal Forge in Stryker for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Oyer was born in Williams County on March 8, 1932 the daughter of the late Roy and the late Alma (Brace) Stambaugh. In 1961 she married Richard Oyer and he survives. She was a devoted wife and mother and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stryker. Donna enjoyed cooking, taking care of her cats, shopping and spending time with her family.

Surviving besides her husband, Richard are children; William R. (Peggy) Oyer of Garrett, IN and Paula J. (Dustin) Purtee of Montpelier.,three grandchildren; Evan B. (Ashley) Oyer of Indianapolis, IN, Collin J. Bexten and Tristin N. Bexten of Montpelier, brother, Robert (Norma) Stambaugh and sisters; Dorothy Sheets and Ruth Davis both of Bryan. Preceding her in death besides her parents were three brothers; Glen, Al and Russ Stambaugh and three sisters, Lucy Burns, Mary Ussery and Virgie King.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker with Pastor Sean Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the Stryker Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until service time on Wednesday. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com.
