Ebaristo "Tony" Guerrero, Jr.

Ebaristo (Jr., “Tony”) Guerrero, age 75, of Wauseon and formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, surrounded by his family.

He was born December 21, 1940 in Mercedes, Texas to Ebaristo and Antonia (Quiroga) Guerrero. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Toledo and was a 1959 graduate of Woodward High School. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Manuel Hernandez and Gonzalo Hernandez and sister, Mary Marquez. Ebaristo retired from Chrysler Toledo Machining Plant in Perrysburg, Ohio.

He had a passion for golf, going to car shows and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family. He wintered in LaFeria, Texas, where he was a member of the Tony Butler Golf Course, enjoying golf with many friends from Texas, Wisconsin, and Ohio.

Surviving is his wife Azucena “Sue”; sons, Mark Guerrero and David Guerrero; daughters, Angela (Philip) Cruz, Christina Ramsey; Sue’s children, Lisa (Larry Snuggs) Muniz, Laura (Rick) Dulaney and Tomas (Sherry) Muniz; 18 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Robert (Sonia) Guerrero, John Guerrero and sister, Lupe Menchaca; sisters-in-law, Della Hernandez and Mary Hernandez, and brother-in-law, Roger Trejo. He will be missed by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation for Ebaristo will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, at St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon, with the Rev. Father David Bruning, officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society or the Boys and Girls Clubs of Toledo. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
