Eileen Margaret Martz Goebel

Eileen Margaret Martz Goebel, age 96 of Stryker passed away late Saturday February 25, 2017 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold. Prior to her retirement she had been a lifelong area Homemaker.

Mrs. Goebel was born on August 11, 1920 in Dayton, the daughter of the late William and the late Anna Catherine (Zobrist) Martz. She married Russell Goebel and he preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Archbold as a well as a member of their Rosary-Altar Society.

Surviving is daughter; Rose Godfrey of Stryker, sons; Ronald Goebel and Gary Goebel both of Stryker, 9 grandchildren and 25 great-children and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her husband Russell were brothers; Robert, Carl, Richard John and Emmett Martz and infant twin sisters Marilyn and Carolyn.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:45am Wednesday March 1, 2017 at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Archbold with Father Stephen Stanberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Stryker Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm at the St. Peter Catholic Church where the Rosary will be recited at 6:45pm.
