Rog, Steve, and all,
I am sorry to hear about your Mom. The last we talked at Mom's visitation she was not doing well. Not good to lose her, but hope it was for the best. In reading her obit. I didn't realize what a hard worker she was for so many years. She must have been a very strong lady with a lot of character. Many of her generation were. My Mom and Dad had that same strong work ethic and sense of right and wrong.

Gladys will be greatly missed. She added a lot of love to this world and part of that love was her humor. So quick-witted, so funny. And a memory like you wouldn't believe. She bore five children and she had a good birthing story for each of them. I loved to listen to her stories. I tended her flowerbeds for the last several years she lived at home. She'd feed me and we'd talk. She kept Klondike ice cream bars in her freezer for me. When her eyes began to fail her, I started to read to her. Some beautiful hours, beautiful memories. I loved her.

So sorry to hear about your mom. I will always remember her with a huge smile on her face, I remember a time when I stopped over to get some Avon and she had to show me that her dog could talk... she held a treat and the dog actually sounded like it said βI wantβ she was so excited about that.
