My heart goes out to you. You and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers during this hard time in the loss of your mom. Aunt Ida Mae was such an important part of our family. She will always be loved, remembered and missed. She was beautiful, loving, kind, thoughtful and spent her life serving, helping and caring for others. She was so intelligent, went to college, became a nurse, taught nursing, volunteered for the Red Cross and touched the lives of more people than we could ever imagine.
She was a strong Christian woman who loved God, her church and her friends there. She was independent, hardworking, very devoted to her family and friends and always made special time for them. Mike, she loved you so much and was very proud of you. She told me, when we spoke last month, that you were always a good boy when you were growing up and you never gave her any trouble. She said you always did well in school. She loved your whole family and had a special place in her heart for you, Kim and her grandchildren.
Aunt Ida Mae made a point to visit us in Hamilton at least once a year and we looked forward to spending time with her. She always took such good care of herself, eating healthy, reading, knitting and taking daily walks that she enjoyed so much. She would convince my dad he needed to walk with her. I think she just wanted time alone with her younger brother. She would make me feel special because she would sit and talk with me and was interested in my life. We both have birthdays in November and from the time I was a little girl she would send me a pretty birthday card every year with a sweet message inside. I still have them all.
I`m so thankful Dad and I got to visit her for five days in August. We were able to take care of her, share meals together and have special talks. We would sit with her and she would hold our hands so tight and thank us over and over for coming to see her. We got to give each other many hugs, kisses and say, " I love you," to one another. My dad and I will always remember and cherish those precious last days with her. Aunt Ida Mae was a blessing to us from God. I know she is in her eternal home in Heaven and no longer in pain. I`m sure she had many friends and family in Heaven to greet her, including my mom. We can all look forward to seeing her again someday. Until then , you will hold your memories of her in your heart.

Dear Mike and Family,
I was so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. There are few forces on earth stronger than a mother's love, and she loved you very much. Ida Mae was a wonderful friend to my family, and in particular, to my mother. Ida Mae and my mother enjoyed little day trips to Adrian or Toledo. They shared an interest in the arts and an appreciation of life's ironies. I remember with gratitude Ida Mae's kind, intelligent, practical support in my mom's later years. I enjoyed my conversations with Ida Mae over the years. She was a strong, intelligent, insightful woman who helped many during her life. Please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss.

Mike and Family,

No words can express the feelings of losing your mother, grandmother, someone who loved and cared for you unconditionally. I am sure that Ida Mae was a driving positive force in your lives, exhibiting pride for your accomplishments, and encouragement when things did not go as planned. She will always be with you through your memories of her; it is in this way that she will live on. I am so sorry for your loss.

Love,

Cousin Bryan

Mike & Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Ida Mae was a very caring sister to me. She was someone I could always talk to and, when I was feeling down, she would always lift my spirits to make my days bright again. She took care of me when I was little, and kept me out of trouble. I will miss her dearly.

Mike, thank you for your love and devotion to her. Ida Mae's love for you and family would be an inspiration to anyone.

Love,

Uncle Clinton

Ida Mae was a wonderful volunteer for the Fulton County Chapter of the American Red Cross! She served on the Board from 1995 - 2013.
As the Executive Director for the Chapter, I had the pleasure of working with her at Board meetings and outside the board room at our many fundraisers and other events. She will be greatly missed by those she helped, her family, and her many friends.

Dear Mike and family, In condolence I am thinking of you offering prayers in the memory of your mother. I was very fond of her and remember so many memories of you, Ida Mae and Clare. Church and you as neighbors were very important in my life. The thoughts of those from the past are an important part of what I have become. I hope one day our paths may cross. Love and blessings, Lee Glaze

When I think about Aunt Ida Mae, the words that quickly come to mind are calm, practical, pragmatic, funny, wise, friendly. What I know is that she loved without question. She was unfailingly kind and generous, opening her heart and home to us when our family traveled cross-country to visit with hers. Years later, she and I enjoyed long chats on the phone, where she continually impressed me with her strength and intelligence, and the simple yet powerful way she lived her life. It's hard to say goodbye — I will dearly miss my aunt.

Mike and Family, You have my sympathy on the passing of your Mother. I used to work at Ramon's Shell and your parents were regular customers. I left Wauseon in 1979. I worked at a dealership in Napoleon and I have serviced your mother's car there.
