Irv was a very friendly man, always wearing a smile despite his health issues. He always had a story to tell about his service years, which he should have written down, but for his own reasons was hesitant to do so. He hung a flag in front of his home daily for as long as he could. Irv was the best neighbor my father could have had. They looked out for each other. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Please know that the members of the Wauseon Fire Dept. are very honored to have met Irvin. Each and every time we met him, right up until the last, he would tell a new WWII (D-Day) story with great pride in his voice. We would always end the trip by thanking him for his service, but he always insisted on having the final thank you. God bless Irvin and your family.
