Larry Gene Green

Delta:

Larry Gene Green, age 74, of Delta, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016. Prior to his retirement he had been an American History Teacher in the Pike-Delta-York School System for 30 years. During the summer he had worked with his brothers doing construction while he wasn’t teaching.

Larry was born in Delta, Ohio on July 16, 1942, the son of Norman and Kathryn (Perl) Green. He had earned his Bachelors of Education from Bowling Green State University.

Surviving is his son, Tige Green of Delta; daughter, Beth (Steve) Robinson of Delta; and grandchildren, Randy Rage Hilton, Hunter Sue Green, Rollin Haze Robinson and Dylan Wines. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul “Skip” Green and Richard “Dick” Green; and niece, Kelly Green.

Visitation for Larry will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Grisier-Weigel Funeral Home in Delta. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Krieger, officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, rural Delta. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to an Educational Fund for the Grandchildren.  Larry’s family would like to thank Henry County Hospice and their nurses, Jill Stephens and Cheryl Chupa; and aides, Darla Taylor, Susan Moore, Peggy Butler and Audri Rosebrook for the care that they gave him.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.Deltafhcom.
