Paul Joseph Wongroski

Paul Joseph Wongroski, age 67, of Delta, passed away Thursday evening, February 1, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. Prior to his retirement he had worked as a mechanic for Roadway Services, for 37 years.

Paul was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 19, 1950, the son of Joseph and Teresa (Czlapinski) Wongroski. On February 21, 1975, he married Rosemary “Rose” Kasprzak, and she preceded him in death in 2015. He was a member of St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon and was also a member of the St. Caspar Knights of Columbus. Paul was an Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War and was a member of the Delta American Legion Post.

Surviving are two daughters, Jeanette (Brian) Yacucci of Cincinnati, OH, Rebecca Wongroski of Bryan; son, Daniel Wongroski of Wauseon; and grandson, Jacob Yacucci. He was preceded in death by his wife, and both parents.

Visitation for Paul will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at St. Caspar Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, also at the church, with Father David Bruning, officiating. Interment will be in the St. Caspar Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Knights of Columbus or the Delta American Legion. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
