Phyllis G. Zook

Phyllis G. Zook, age 87, of Wauseon, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. A graduate of Lyons High School, she then attended and graduated from the Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse, having worked for Dr. Vogel in Wauseon for 40 years.

Phyllis was born in Lyons on October 22, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Ina (Laymen) Andrews. In 1953 she married Wayne Zook, and he preceded her in death in 2001. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Wauseon. She loved nursing, her patients, and health care.

Surviving is her niece, Susan (Joe) Murry of Lyons, and nephew, Tim Andrews of Lyons. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Charles Andrews.

Visitation for Phyllis will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. The funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Paul Bomeli, officiaiting. Interment will be in the Wauseon Union Cemetery.
