Robert John Tefft

Robert John Tefft, age 77, of Wauseon passed away late Saturday April 8, 2017 at Advanced Specialty Hospital in Toledo. Prior to his retirement he had been a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for many years.

Mr. Tefft was born in Maumee on January 13, 1940 the son of the late Floren and the late Helen (Benn) Tefft. His first wife, Shirley passed away in 1993, his second wife, Helen survives. He was a United State Air Force veteran having served from 1957-1962. He enjoyed golfing and going to garage sales. Nothing made him happier than attending his grandchildren's activities.

Surviving besides his wife, Helen are his children; Sherry (Kevin) Renner, Deb (Lenny) Poggemeyer, Greg (Judy) Tefft and Derek (Theresa) Tefft, step-children; Chris (Susan) Oehlers, Jenna (Don) Johnson, Andy (Amanda) Oehlers. 24 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death besides his parents, his first wife Shirley was his brother Florian “Buddy” Tefft.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday April 13, 2017 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon from 3:00-7:00pm where a Memorial service will be held at 7:00pm.
