Rosemary Lind Obituary

Rosemary Lind, 98, of Wauseon OH, passed away on March 17th, 2019 at Fulton Manor, where she had resided for two and a half years.

Rosemary was born on a Fulton County farm on June 1st, 1920 to Robert E. and Alice (Barnes) Patterson. Rosemary graduated from Chesterfield High School in 1938 and BGSU in 1942. She married John Lind Jr. of Wauseon OH during World War II in which John served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters.

Rosemary was the great-great-granddaughter of George W. She logged over 1000 hours as a volunteer at the Fulton County Health Center’s Cardiology Clinic. She was named National Exchange Club Volunteer of the Year in 2003. She was a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Wauseon for over seventy years and helped make 1000s of quilts and knitted items for Lutheran charities.

Rosemary was the eldest of seven siblings, mother of two, and great grandmother of two. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert (1972) and Alice (1951), by her husband, John (1977), and by her brother John Patterson (2007) and her sister Annabelle (Patterson) Reed (2010) and by her daughter, Charlotte (Lind) Cutuli (2013).

Rosemary is survived by her sister, Betty (Patterson) Brown (of Columbus OH), her brother Dale Patterson (of North Carolina), her sister Claire (Patterson) Berrington (of Virginia), and sister Virginia Patterson (of Toledo OH). She is also survived by her son, Ken Lind and his wife, Jan (Lux) Lind (of Geneva IL), by her granddaughter Eva (Lind) Mallo and her husband, Daniel Mallo, and their son, Theodore Mallo (of Hong Kong), and by her granddaughter, Audrey Lind and her daughter, Tsunami Smith (of Batavia IL). Rosemary also has a host of surviving nieces and nephews.
