Wayne L. Willeman

Wayne L. Willeman, age 84, of Wauseon, passed away on Thursday morning, August 18, 2016 at the Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center. Prior to his retirement he had been a truck driver.

Wayne was born in Napoleon, Ohio on September 5, 1931, the son of Cleo Lin and Delia (Bates) Willeman. On June 17, 1950 he married Irene Colon, and she survives. Wayne was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of the Wauseon American Legion Post. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing and trapping.

Surviving besides his wife, Irene, is son, Craig (Helen) Willeman; daughter, Vickie (Kevin) Vandock; grandchildren, Andy (Char) McCowan, Daniel (Stacey) Vandock, BethDiaz, Matthew Blanton, Sarah (Alex) Stewart, Amanda DeNudt, Chrissy (Matt) Earl, Daniel DeNudt; great-grandchildren, Katie, Michael, Christopher, Abby, Makenna, Kaleb, Ayane, Austin, Hunter, Travis, Wyatt, Amelia, Bai Lin, Allison, Lucas and Tucker, and great-great-granddaughter, Raylinn.  He was preceded in death by by his parents, and sister, Madeline Warner.

Visitation for Wayne will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Wauseon, where a Celebration of his Life will immediately follow at 12:00 noon, with Paul Colon, officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the benevolence of the family. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
