Maybelle A. Knoop

Maybelle A. Knoop, age 78, of Archbold, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Monday, August 24, 2020. Maybelle had owned and operated the Matt-Mar Tire Company in Gladwin, Michigan for many years. She then worked at Sauder Woodworking and retired from the Miller Tire.

Maybelle was born in Durand, Michigan on June 26, 1942, the daughter of Joseph and Edith (Bowman) Forman. She was a member of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold.

Surviving is her husband of 23 years, Stan Ruffer, of Archbold; two sons, Matthew (Shannon) Knoop of Tennessee and Mark (Charlene) Knoop of Elwell, Michigan; grandchildren, Dezaraya Butler, Robert Knoop, Destiny Knoop and Annaka Gilbert; and great-grandchildren, Availynn Gilbert and Zay Butler. She was preceded in death by both parents, and brother, William “Bill” Forman.
