Bette Ann (Graf) Kutzli

Bette Ann Kutzli, age 92, of Wauseon, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018 in Swanton Healthcare for Assisted Living, Swanton, Ohio.  She was born December 04, 1925 in Fayette, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Vella (Plettner) Graf.  She married Clement T. Kutzli on June 01, 1947 and he preceded her in death April 28, 1971.  Prior to retirement she worked at the McCord factory and Allan's Pharmacy in Wauseon.  She was a member of First Christian Church, Wauseon, Ohio and a member of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jodi (Bill) Lawrence, of Placitas, New Mexico, her son, Clem Kutzli, of Stryker, Ohio.  Her grandson, Justin (Tricia) Kutzli,  two great-grandsons, sister, Leona Stopher, of Wauseon, Ohio and brother, Lloyd Graf, Jr. of Wauseon, Ohio

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Alice Huber.

Throughout her life she found joy in simple things:  football, big band music, new shoes, a cup of coffee, taking photos-lots of photos, family summer vacations in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, WHS Class of 1943 reunions, word finder puzzles, Chinese food, peanut butter, ice cream, and more football.

She especially loved dancing.  Her senior yearbook said that "she could teach a pair of stilts to dance."  When her dancing days were behind her, she would still tap her toes and snap her fingers to the music.

Babies and children always made her smile, especially her much loved grandson, Justin.  She liked dogs-cats not so much, but she grew to tolerate her grandcats.

Above all, she loved her church, her country, and her family.

Her children would like to thank the nurses and staff at Swanton Health Care for Assisted Living and Great Lakes Hospice for the care given to her in the last years and days of her life.

Funeral services for Bette will be private. Reverend Michael Doerr, Pastor of First Christian Church, Wauseon, Ohio will officiate.  Interment will be in Wauseon Union Cemetery.
