Steve Alexander, my brother, called me December 18 to tell me of the passing of a family friend in Stryker, Ohio, whom we first knew as a Sunday School teacher in our church and as a friend to our parents, Herbert and Vivian Alexander. As Steve shared word of the Homegoing of Florence Osborne Rupp, we each reminisced a little about growing up in the Baptist Church youth group with "Mick" as one of the older leaders in the days of John Reed and then Sue as one of our schoolmates in the days of Ron Graef's ministry. Good memories of the whole Osborne family and those days. Steve and I had both moved away from close contact with the Baptist church by the time Denver Rupp became Florence's husband, but we remembered him and his sons and were glad for Florence to have good companionship in marriage again. We are both saddened at news of the death of another of our longtime Stryker friends, but also glad for our memories and for the promises of our God and Savior about Heaven as the final Home of every follower of Jesus Christ.

We are so sorry to hear that Florence has passed away. It was such a honor to see her and celebrate her100th birthday. What a milestone to reach and with such grace. I am sure you will miss her. Thank you for inviting us to her special day so we could see her one last time.

Sorry for your loss. I was a member of the Pulaski Garden Club when your mother was a member. She was a real inspiration to me as being new to garden club and flower arranging.
