Laurie D. Wilson

Laurie D. Wilson, age 57 of Morenci, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Promedica Toledo Hospital, after a lengthy battle with cancer.  She worked for may years as a secretary in the medical field.

Laurie was born on July 1, 1960 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Kenneth and the late Marna (Walker) Richardson.  On October 1, 1993, she married Larry G. Wilson, and he survives.  Together, they had three children; Ashley (Glen) Fry, Dylan Wilson, and Tyler Wilson.  Laurie also had a daughter, Suzanne Shannon and a step-son, Bill Wilson.  In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family swimming at the lake and camping.  She also enjoyed Bible study.

Surviving besides her husband and children are sisters; Susie (George) and Kenna Richardson; brothers, Brian (Lori) Richardson, Randy (Denise) Richardson, Greg Richardson, and Kenneth (Linda) Richardson; and grandchildren, Nicole Wilson and Ethan Wilson.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

According to Laurie’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM at the Rollin Center United Methodist Church, 3988 Townley Highway, Manitou Beach, Michigan on February 17, 2018.  There will be a visitation period starting at 10:00 AM and continuing until the time of the service.  Those wishing a contribution in Laurie’s memory are encouraged to consider the American Cancer Society or the Benevolence of the Family.  Online condolences may be made at www.grisierfh.com.  The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
