Ronald Lee Rettle

Ronald Lee Rettle, age 73, of rural Fayette passed away early Thursday November 16, 2017 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center near Defiance. Prior to his retirement he had been a lifelong area farmer and had also worked at various local factories.

Mr. Rettle was born in Morenci, Michigan on December 19, 1943 the son of the late John and the late Helen (Nyari) Rettle. He enjoyed bowling, demolition derbies, Oakshade Raceway and was also a member of the Morenci Eagles.He was also a huge John Deere and Ford fan.

Surviving are daughters; Shelley Chittenden, Kathy (Jim) Bussing, grandchildren; Zach (Sydney) Chittenden, Maegan Chittenden and Cherese Bussing and great-grandson Jaxson Chittenden. Also surviving are sisters; Dorma Eberly and Cheryl Ballmer, nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Judy Rettle. Preceding him in death besides his parents were grandparents; Steve and Erma Schultz and John and Barbara Nyari, brother; John Rettle, Jr., brother-in-law; Rick Ballmer and son-in-law; James Chittenden.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm Sunday December 10, 2017 at the Morenci Eagles. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the Morenci EMS or the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com.
