Rosezella A. (Layman) Gaff

Rosezella A. Gaff, age 88, of Monroe, Michigan, formerly of Grass Lake, Michigan, and Delta, Ohio passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Monroe Promedica, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on February 18, 1929 to Albert and Opal (Osterhout) Layman in Delta, Ohio.  Rosezella married Denver Gaff; he preceded her in death in1959.  She worked at UMI of Ann Arbor as a photographic specialist, retiring in 1996.

Rosezella was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the Delta Eagles.  She loved to spend time gardening.  Rosezella lived in Grass Lake, Michigan, for 43 years with her companion Henry Samyn; he preceded her in death in 2014.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Fruth, David Gaff, and Diana (Jerry) White; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Rosezella was preceded in death by her parents; husband Denver; siblings, Ralph Layman, Herthal Layman, Leona Pike, and Helen Jones-Bateman; and great-grandson, Shawn Leis.

Family and friends may visit, Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Grisier-Weigel Funeral Home, 400 West Main St. in Delta (419.822.3121), where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Trowbridge officiating.  Interment will follow at Raker Cemetery.
