Thomas John Creps

Thomas John Creps, age 69, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in his home in Napoleon, Ohio.  He was born January 25, 1949 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Raymond and Helen (Box) Creps.  Tom graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1967.  After high school he was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged.  He began work for Whitmer Plumbing and Heating.  He then worked for General Motors in Toledo where he retired in 2006 after 31 years.  Tom married Rita VanDenBerghe in 1969 in Neapolis, Ohio.  They were married for 27 years until she was killed in an automobile accident.  He married R. Elaine Keller in 1997 and moved to Napoleon until his passing.  He enjoyed building dollhouses for his grandchildren, watching his favorite baseball team, The Detroit Tigers and bowling with his family.  

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Helen Creps, his wife Rita, and a grandson, Spencer.

Tom is survived by his wife, Elaine of Napoleon, Ohio;  his daughter, Karin (Creps) McGilvery and husband Mac, of Liberty Center, Ohio;  son, Tony Creps and wife Renee of Deshler, Ohio;  step-daughter, Rhonda Miller, of Holgate, Ohio;  step-son, Jason Osterhout and wife Tammy, of New York;  grandchildren, Mackie, Tom, Maggie, Lexi, Jordan, Hunter, Josh, Eric Jr., Nicholas, Ryan, Jeremy, Zachary, Abbigail, Ian, Emma, Reid.  Brother, Dan (Audrey) of South Carolina;  sisters, Betty (Eric) of Liberty Center;   Margaret Ann Raymond) of South Carolina.  Many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call for a time of visitation with Tom's family,  4:00 p.m. -  8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, Ohio.  Funeral services for Tom will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, Ohio.  Pastor Timothy Coley will officiate.  Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, rural Grand Rapids, Ohio.  Graveside military honors will be accorded by Fulton County Honor Guard.
