Douglas Kelley

Douglas Kelley, age 86, of Pioneer, Ohio, passed away on November 6, 2023 at the Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. Douglas worked as a painter for many years.

Douglas was born on August 2, 1937, in Tecumseh, MI. He was raised by the late Glen and Opal (Schomp) French. On November 9, 1957, Douglas married his wife Janis, and she preceded him in death in 2020. Douglas loved old cars, coloring, and playing Bingo and Euchre. He also was a Michigan, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions fan. 

Surviving Douglas is his daughter, Sandra Kelley of Bryan; son, Russell (Pat Bailey) Kelley of Pioneer; and son, Ron (Jeanette) Kelley of Bryan. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janis; parents; daughter, Sheryl Russell; son, Richard Kelley; brothers, Norman, Joseph, and Donald; and sister, Dorothy.

Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 1pm, at the Wauseon Union Cemetery, with Celebrant Adam Grisier officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the benevolence of the family. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
