Hazel McQuillin

Hazel McQuillin, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at her home at Silver Treasures in St. Johns, Florida.  She was born on February 12, 1934, to David and Mildred Ayers. She met and married Robert Franklin McQuillin on September 14, 1955, and together raised two beautiful daughters.

Hazel  spent her working career as a bookkeeper with Penrod and George CPA, and later with Wauseon Woodworking.  She also helped on the family farm when needed.  She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, and working on her needlepoint.

Hazel is survived by her daughters, Linda (Bill) O'Neill and Karen (Chris) Cornelius, grandchildren, Heather (Evan) Stewart, Kyle (Kristie) Cornelius; great grandchildren, Sophia, Tucker, Laila, and Brock Cornelius, and Rhett and Elle Stewart.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Franklin McQuillin; her parents, David and Mildred Ayers; and brothers, Lowell and Carl Ayers.

Visitation for Hazel will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold, Ohio from 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold, at 10:30am, with interment to follow at the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Pastor Michael Doerr of the First Christian Church of Wauseon will officiate. In lieu of flowes, memorial contributions can be made to The First Christian Church, Wauseon, Ohio.
