Howard S. Groh

Ann Arbor, Michigan:

Howard Steffen Groh, age 80, of Kettering, OH, died Sunday, December 16, 2018.  Howard was born in Powellsburg, Ohio, June 17, 1938.  After receiving his GED, Howard earned an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University. and a Masters degree in finance from St. Louis University. Howard’s career in the truck parts industry brought him and his family to Missouri,  Minnesota, Ohio and Texas. 

Howard was predeceased by his wife, Joyce.  He is survived by his loving family; two children, Melissa (Mark) Arend of Franklin, TN and Charles (Kristin) Groh of Ann Arbor, MI; four grandchildren, Samuel & Evan Groh and Nathan & Alexandra Arend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Irene Groh of Portsmouth, OH, his brother Walter, and his sister Ruth Ann. 

Private services will be held. Everyone Howard met was touched by his friendly smile, his kindness and genuinely sweet nature. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice. The family would like to thank the remarkable staff of Hillside Terrace Retirement Center, in Ann Arbor, for their loving care of Howard during his time there.
