James Wyse

James Wyse, 77, of Wauseon went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 21, 2026. He was born in Adrian, Michigan on September 28, 1948, the son of the late Erwin Wyse.

He worked briefly for Ike Short of Wauseon.  He loved working on small engines and model train sets.  He would also spend Sunday afternoons with his dad hunting for arrowheads or flying radio control model airplanes.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin; and his Grandpa Arthur and Grandma Ora Wyse.

Surviving are his cousins, Larry (Beverly) Wyse of St. Paul, Minnesota, Judy Wyse of Wauseon, Toby (Patti) Wyse of Conklin, New York, Jerry (Roseanna) Wyse of Wauseon, Gene (Judy) Wyse of Wauseon, and Angie (Tom) McWatters of Wauseon.

A graveside service for James will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Tedrow Cemetery, at 1pm, with Pastor Landon Schaffner officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wauseon Senior Center. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
