Jill Irene Couts, age 73, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away on March 13th, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
Jill was born to William and Evelyn(Stites) Myers on May 20th, 1952 in Adrian, Michigan. Jill graduated from Evergreen High School in 1970. Jill worked many years for Nafziger Ice Cream Company and later worked for IAC, where she retired from.
She met her love, Ray F. Couts and quickly married on October 17th, 1972. He preceded her in death on November 27th,2020.
Jill was known for her wonderfully made blankets. Making many over the years and attending multiple craft shows to sell the love she placed into each one of them.
One of her favorite times of the year was camping at the Fulton County Fair. Always reserving the spot for just “one more year” so she could enjoy her bologna sandwiches, shredded chicken, and all the free pens that she could find in the vendor tents.
Her care and wisdom will truly be missed by the ones who loved her most. Her selflessness and compassion for others was noticed by many, as she always made sure everyone else was okay before herself.
Jill is survived by her children, Bill (Amy) Couts, Brandon Couts and April Nygren; grandchildren, Courtney (Josh), Brooklynn (Zach), Caiden, Karma, Kingston and Riley; siblings, Cynthia, John, Kevin and Lydia; along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ray and son, Brian Couts. Along with many sisters-in law and Brothers-in law.
At this time, there are no scheduled services. A Celebration of Life will be announced later.
