Josephine "Josie" Lopez Obituary

Josephine "Josie" Lopez, age 80, of Wauseon, passed away on September 29, 2023, in her home. Josie was born in Wauseon on August 25, 1943 to the late Panfilo and O'Tila (Serna) Ramon.

On July 27, 1963, Josie married the love of her life, Michael Lopez, who survives. Together, they lived a life of hard work and love, always supporting each other through life. Josie earned her business degree and then worked for Lathrop Company. She later worked for Owens-Illinois in Toledo as a manager of importing and exporting accounts. At one time, she even handled the accounts for Pepsi and other large companies. She also obtained her real estate license, sold Mary Kay cosmetics, and worked for the Fremont News Messenger. Through all of her success and hard work, Josie lived a life of humility caring for her family. She was a poised woman who cared for all with a service heart. She loved volunteering at her church, St. Caspar Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and follower of Christ. Her biggest love and achievement was her family. She truly treasured her time spent with her family and friends. She was the best daughter,  wife, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother and friend that anyone could have asked for. Her smile warmed your heart. She always made you feel special. She found the best in everything and everyone. She loved to dance, enjoyed her Jazzercise classes, walks, and water aerobics. She will be dearly missed and forever engraved in our hearts.

Surviving Josie is her husband, Michael Lopez of Wauseon; daughter, Patricia (William) Kiser of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Michael A. Lopez of Wauseon; son, Daniel Lopez of Wauseon; and son, David Lopez of Wauseon; grandson, Kevin (Darienne) Kiser of Virginia Beach; and granddaughter, Amber (AJ) Kiser. She is also survived by her siblings, Lupe (Oscar) Ramos of Wauseon, Elvira Avina of Wauseon, Rosie Mullins of Wauseon, and Panfilo (Clarissa) Ramon, Jr. of Perrysburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Mary Lou Ramon; and brother-in-law, Paul Mullins.
