Karson Christopher Torbet

On Saturday October 15, 2022, Karson Christopher Torbet, loving son, passed away at the age of 7, at the University of Michigan Children's Hospital, from the result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Karson was born on November 5, 2014, to Jasmine and Kaleb Torbet at Toledo Hospital. Karson was in the 2nd grade at Wauseon Primary School where he loved to do arts, crafts, and music. Karson had an infectious smile and hug where he brought life and joy to everyone who saw him. Karson was an adventurous soul who loved magic, art, animals, fishing, music, super heroes, garage saling, police cars, motorcycles, and big machines. Karson had an active imagination where he could turn anything into a sword or a wand. Karson dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and having a pet Kangaroo. Karson was able to find his passion when he joined the Wauseon Swim Team, and he told people "I'm going to be the next Michael Phelps." Karson was a true friend who was always conscientious of his classmates' medical needs and was sensitive to other's well-being.

He left behind a loving mother-Jasmine, bonus dad-Nate, loving father-Kaleb, bonus mom-Jackie, step-siblings-Amelia and Jocelyn, grandparents-Dawn and Keith Torbet, Kathy and Tom Church, great grandparents-Mike Paskan, Connie Torbet (Bob), Aunts and Uncles-Preston Torbet (Natalie), Kendra Davis (Shawn), Jordan Torbet (Katie), Tera Rogers (Will), Jennifer Savill (Mike), Sarah Church Harast (Aaron), Bradley Church, Mallory Church, and many loving cousins.

Visitation for Karson will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 22, 2022, also at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Ashley Rosa-Ruggieri, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.  The family will be accepting cash donations at the visitation and service to be donated in Karson's memory that will go towards the Wauseon Primary school fine arts education program, as Karson was a lover of the arts.  Karson would want loved ones to remember "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.”
