Paul L. Noe

Paul L. Noe, age 84, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born on October 12, 1940 to Xystus W. and Edna (Wiseman) Noe in Toledo, Ohio. Paul married Janice K. (Secondcost) Noe on November 16, 1963 and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2023. Paul proudly served in the Army National Guard.

In his early days he worked for Pete Simon Construction in Assumption and later branched out and stated his own company, Noe Excavating. He successfully owned and operated his company for over 40 years prior to retiring. Paul loved anything to do with airplanes including restoration, he restored over 26 airplanes throughout his life. He also had his private pilot’s license. Paul loved his Sunday NASCAR races and family.

He is survived by his son, Bert Noe of Wauseon; two grandchildren, Tamela and Jonathon Noe; two great-grandchildren, Ashlynne and Quinton Bussing; three brothers, Gerald (Karen) Noe of Berkey, Danny (Marsha) Noe of Sylvania and Francis (Cheryl) Noe of Lyons; many nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Sophie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Noe and siblings, Mary Noe, Charles Noe and Robert Noe.

The family will receive guests on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 2-6:00 p.m. in the Pope John XXIII Room at St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon. His Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025 in St. Caspar Catholic Church, Rev. Todd Dominique officiating. Interment will follow in Winameg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Caspar Catholic Church.
