Rickie R. Williams

Rickie “Rick” Ray Williams, age 74, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away August 12, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Rick served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, Rick worked as a materials engineer for Detroit Diesel for 47 years.

Born on June 17, 1946, Rick was the son of Donald and Frona “Lynn” (DeVore) Williams. He obtained his associates degree in material engineering from Schoolcraft College in Michigan. On April 2, 1988, Rick married Jan Wolfe, and she survives. Rick was a master gardener, and volunteered at the Henry Co. Humane Society in Napoleon and at Brenda’s Butterfly Habitat in Westland, MI. 

Surviving Rick is his son, Eric Williams; son, Mark Williams; daughter, Kirsten (Jason) Holm-Caskey of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter, Katie (Jeff) Harmon of Napoleon, Ohio; grandchildren, Grace, Claire, Daniel, Jude, Parker, Oliver; and ex-wife, Jan Williams of Napoleon, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all services will be private and scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Henry County Humane Society.
