Robert A. Grieder

Robert A. Grieder, age 84, of Wauseon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Heartland of Wauseon.  He was born on January 9, 1934, in Tedrow, Ohio, to the late Arthur and Ruth (Retan) Grieder.  On June 6, 1964, he married Wanda J. Schisler in Portsmouth, Ohio, and she survives.

Robert attended Wauseon High School, graduating in 1951, and attended First Baptist Church in Wauseon.  Prior to his retirement, he worked for Essex Wire, the Campbell Soup Company, and German Village.  In his spare time, Robert enjoyed cooking, photography, and sports – the Chicago Cubs being his favorite team.

Surviving besides his wife, Wanda, are sons, Robert R. Grieder and Greg S. Grieder; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Wauseon, with Pastor John Shirley, officiating.  A luncheon will follow the memorial service.  Online condolences to the family may be offered at www.GrisierFH.com.  The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon is honored with Robert’s care and arrangements.
