Ryan Scott Howell

Ryan Scott Howell, age 43, of Hendersonville, NC, and formerly of Archbold, passed away in his home on December 22, 2024. Ryan served his country as a member of the United States Army from Jan 30th 2002 until August 12th 2008. Graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work.

Ryan was born on June 11, 1981, in Wauseon, to Dennis and Tanya (Calvin) Howell.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Dennis and Tanya Howell of Hayesville, NC. Brother Kiel (Sarah) Howell – Upper Arlington Ohio,  Karen (Fred) Dominique – Angola Indiana,  Kim Bogosian Hamler Ohio.

Preceded in death grandparents Guy Howell, Jean Howell, Lauren Calvin, Adeline (Linda) Calvin.  Pam (Robert) Howell-Beach aunt. Phillip J Calvin – uncle.

Ryan loved to surf, fish, movies, music, going to concerts, taking care of his best friend, Louie, his labrador, and playing video games online with his brother, Kiel.

Visitation for Ryan will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10am to 11am, at the St. Martins Lutheran Church in Archbold. A memorial service will take place following visitation, at 11am, with Pastor Steve Basselman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the St. Martin Lutheran Church of Archbold. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
