Vern W. Lowe

Vern W. Lowe, age 88, of rural Wauseon, passed away in his home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Prior to his retirement he had been a farmer and a self-employed semi driver.

Vern was born in Morenci, Michigan on January 4, 1933, the son of Truman and Eliza (Sands) Lowe. On November 19, 1952 he married Esther E. Stites, and she survives. He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and a former member of the former North Dover United Methodist Church. Vern loved working in his lawn and garden.

Surviving besides his wife Esther, are children, Linda Patterson of Jackson, MI, Martin (Rosalia) Lowe of Mexico, Darlene LeVeck of Spring Lake, MI; daughter-in-law, Susan Lowe of Wauseon; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mildred Kime of Lyons, OH and Donna Holt of Clayton, MI; and brother, Maynard (Liz) Lowe of Wauseon. He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis W. Lowe; son-in-law, Steve LeVeck; his parents; four brothers and four sisters.

Visitation for Vern will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Don Krieger, officiating. Interment will follow in the Ottokee Cemetery.
