William Andrew “Bill” Johnson, age 85, of rural Delta, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, in his home. Prior to his retirement in 1983 he had worked for Jeep and the Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years.

William was born in Toledo, Ohio, on October 1, 1934, the son of Lewis and Mable (Borders) Johnson. On December 17, 1956, he married Phyllis Mastin, and she survives. William loved trapping, hunting and fishing, but especially loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

Surviving is his wife, Phyllis, are children, Sue (J.C.) Bishop of Delta, Billy (Peggy) Johnson of Swanton, Scott (Leo) Johnson of Defiance, Ronnie Johnson of Delta, Ricky Johnson of Delta; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jackie) Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Leah Baker, Jenelle Rieger, Nicole (Matt) Bishop; and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike Johnson; grandson, Barry Johnson; sister, Gene Witt; brother, Jim Johnson; and son-in-law, Mark Bishop.
