Archbold:

Loren D. Roth, age 62, of Pettisville, passed away in his home on Monday, February 13, 2017, after enduring nearly two years of various varieties of chemotherapy. Since 1989, Loren worked for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold

He was born in Brussels, Belgium, on September 24, 1954, the son of Earl and Ruth (Jantzen) Roth. On August 11, 1990, he married Nancy Graber, and she survives.  Loren had attended Oregon State, then Grace Bible College in Omaha, Nebraska, then attended Lewis and Clark College, eventually ending with an MA in teaching, with a concentration of math. From 1980 – 1983 he taught junior high math in Oregon, and then he took a job teaching in Yemen Arab Republic. From 1986 – 1989 he taught in Uxbridge, England. He then moved to Archbold.

Loren is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Phillip and Alex; his father, Earl; brother, Marc Roth; and sister, Yvonne Smith.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Roth.

Visitation for Loren will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Archbold Evangelical Church. A celebration of Loren’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, also at the church, with Pastor Jesse Kahler, officiating. Interment will be private in the Pettisville Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Miracle Camp or AIMM (Africa Inter Mennonite Missions). Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
