LERMA Maria A.

Maria A. Lerma, age 81, of Delta, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. She was born November 21, 1934 in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Jose R. and Anita (Cantu) Avila.  On January 19, 1953 she married Presillano R. Lerma, Sr.; he preceded her in death on October 31, 2014.

Maria was a member of Templo Cristiano Assembly of God Church in Archbold. 

Surviving are her children, George (Oralia) Lerma, of Wauseon; Rosa Lerma, of Bryan; Presiliano Lerma, Jr., of Delta; Alberto Lerma, of Delta; Frances Lerma of Delta; and Angie (Chad) Stewart of Sylvania; grandchildren, Brandy Woerner, Presiliano Lerma III, Molly Lerma, and Jerry Zavala; great-granddaughter, Annabell Irwin; and sister Marcelina Perez, of Austin, Texas.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Presiliano, and granddaughter, Alyana Lerma; siblings, Simon Avila, Rafugio Avila, Jose P. Avila, Martha Rodriguez, Angelita Sandoval, and Blasa Montes.

Family and friends may visit, Friday, July 15,  from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Grisier-Weigel Funeral Home, 400 W. Main St. in Delta (419.822.3121).   Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m.  on Saturday, July  16th at Templo Cristiano Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Misael Rodriguez officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
