Sorry to know your mother passed away. I got to know her thru her roommate who is my sister Millie Schultz. She was a very lovely person and I enjoyed knowing and talking to her.

While serving in an outreach from her church, Margie assisted my sister, Patricia Elling AW/63 during her terminal illness in 2007. Margie told me that during the Second World War, she drove a dairy delivery truck for the Longenecker Dairy of Whitehouse, while all the men were away at war. Often she was asked to deliver, eggs, sugar, and other items that people needed along her route. Because of gasoline rationing, dairy trucks often provided these services when needed. What a selfless service she provided as a girl fresh out of
high school (Whitehouse Class of 1944)! --Michael Elling AW/57, Sharon, Tennessee
